Henhouse Prowlers are the 2010 band competition winners at Rockygrass! - July 26, 2010
Hi friends,
It's been a good day for the Prowlers.After finishing third in the band competition at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival we made the trek to Colorado once more to compete at the Rockygrass Festival in Lyons.We played a very good show on Saturday and was chosen with two other bands to advance to the finals.It was about 95 degrees when we pulled up to the Wildflower pavilion in our customary black suits to sign in and get ready for the contest.The first band was a group from Madison WI called Sweetgrass and they were excellent.We were up next and from then on everything was a blur.Before I knew it we were all standing on stage and our name,"The Henhouse Prowlers",was being announced as the winner of the 2010 Rockygrass band competition.
